Welcome, A. Please share a little bit about your current release.
Behind the Door is my first novel, book one in Hidden Motives series, followed by Lara’s Journal, also recently released.

What inspired you to write this book?
The human soul and its complexity inspired me to write. I love to observe people and try to understand their motives regarding why they behave the way they do. That’s what my books are about, understanding the human mind and soul.

Excerpt from Behind the Door:
“Yes indeed, my friend. I’ve seen a lot in my short life. I’ve bent over backward to please. I’ve been a puppet. That wasn’t for me, so one day I decided to stop.”

More than a hint of pain showed in her eyes…unsettling to find in such a young and beautiful woman. Who could have hurt her so much that she’d come to behave as she did?

“I know how it is,” I said. “It’s like apnea. What’s pleasurable at the start of relationships doesn’t last because it’s not real. You’ve decided to be real, once and for all.”

“Apnea?”

I’d finally said something that had surprised her.

“Yes. I like to go diving. Sometimes I dive without air tanks. I hold my breath. It’s called apnea and you can do it for only so long. At the beginning of relationships, people hold their breath. When they can’t do it anymore, they go back to being who they are and relationships end.”

“I adore that description.”

What exciting story are you working on next?
I’m working on book #3 on the trilogy, I believe it’s going to be the last one, and it’s going to explain the other two…

When did you first consider yourself a writer?
I always loved to write. As a lawyer, I’m always writing other people’s stories, but only when my first novel was published did I feel as if I was a real writer.

Do you write full-time? If so, what's your work day like? If not, what do you do other than write and how do you find time to write?
No, I’m an active lawyer, and I have to divide my time between my clients, my legal profession, and writing. I organized my schedule in a way that it allows me to write every day. I also have other hobbies, such as amateur astrology and dancing, I love to cook for my friends, and I love to be with them for a good laugh, and I think it’s all a matter of organizing things.

What would you say is your interesting writing quirk?
I send notes to myself whenever I have an idea, and I’m far away of a computer. I’ll use my phone to send myself an email or text.

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
So many things. A race car driver, a writer, an astronaut, a scientist, an engineer, a ballerina— all those things at once! But since I’m a writer, I can be all those things in my mind.

Anything additional you want to share with the readers?
I’m a very positive person, and I try to see the bright side of everything. Life is much easier when you do that.
